After a couple of days of inhaling pasta, tiramisu and gelato you’ll be looking for the best healthy restaurants in Florence.

Luckily for us, the healthy restaurants are just as delicious as the classic trattorias and ristorante.

Being the capital of Tuscany, there’s no shortage of fresh ingredients in Florence, so expect full flavors and feel energized and ready to explore all of the city’s attractions after filling up at one of these healthy restaurants in Florence.

If none of these are calling your name, check out my favorite places to get vegan food in Florence.

Floret

This is one of those places that you have to know to know. It’s a hidden restaurant tucked above one of the most famous stores in Florence, Luisa Via Roma.

Floret boasts an artisanal menu of delicious healthy foods. The menu changes seasonally depending on what’s fresh and local, but with things like bowls of quinoa, salmon, sweet potatoes, and kale or massive salads, it’s one of the best healthy restaurants in Florence.

They also have raw cacao drinks, chai teas, and matcha lattes. Alongside their fresh pressed juice, and wellness boosters (think ginger shots infused with collagen).

Carduccio Firenze

This is one of those places that always feels incredible to return to. Its no-frills attitude towards healthy and organic food makes for a perfect rustic-Tuscan atmosphere.

The menu changes depending on what’s fresh, but if it’s available their quiona bowls are to die for. Along with a fully organic menu, they have a small shop selling all sorts of bio-products.

Quinoa Firenza

If you’ve had enough of glutenous carbs with all of the pasta, or you’re a gluten-free eater Quinoa will be your go-to place.

A certified 100% gluten-free restaurant, quinoa breaks all the stereotypes that gluten-free food isn’t tasty.

The menu has a mix of classic Italian dishes and some plates from international kitchens. The place is popular, I would recommend reserving a table— especially on the weekends.

Rosalia Salad Gourmet

Before you roll your eyes at the idea of eating a salad while you’re in the land of pizza, just hear me out.

Rosalia while it’s known for its salads also has an array of quick bites that are equally tasty and healthy.

It’s super central so it’s a great place to grab a bite if you’re running from climbing the duomo to seeing the statue of David.

Melaleuca Bakery + Bistrot

A healthy and filling brunch is a great way to start a day in Florence. While Melaleuca has it’s share of sweets and indulgent options— it also has some great healthy plates.

Think millennial brunch classics, like decadent avocado toast, beetroot hummus, and poached eggs. This is a super busy place on the weekends— so get there early if you don’t want to wait for a table.

A side note: This is the only cafe that I’ve found to make their vegan cappuccinos with Oatly barista oat milk— so if you’re a fan this is your coffee spot.
